| For member and author application please add requested member name (lowercase, one word, letters and numbers only) in the message field below and tell us briefly with a few words about you and why you want to join our community as a member. Your application will then be checked and you will receive an email with further instructions upon approval. Note that members also have author rights. This means you can publish your own filling and packaging industry related articles, news, directory entries and events in order to improve your product or company visibility in search engines for example. This is all free. No charges involved. |
Usually we will reply to all requests within 1-5 business days. If you do not receive a message after 3 business days, please check your spam-box or junk mail folder.
Guidelines for article authors and entries into our suppliers directory
To become author for news articles and for the suppliers directory the following simple rules adhere and must be followed:
- No costs or fees involved. It is 100% free. We pay nothing and we ask for nothing.
- You are responsible for your articles.
- Articles must be related to the packaging industry (including beverage industry, food industry etc.)
- No need to be world’s best author. But articles must be of decent quality and useful to our readers.
- This includes avoidance of grammatical errors or spelling errors. Use a spellchecker!
- You are invited to talk about companies, products and services, but no outright commercial writing!
- However, you can post machines on sale etc. in the “Showroom” category.
- You can add links to trustworthy web sites, but keep numbers low to max. 1-5 links per article.
- The links you add to your article must lead to sites that are trustworthy and related to the topic.
- You can also add a link to your website or your external author profile to add authority strength to it.
- Articles must be unique. No copy-paste of press releases and no stolen content or the like.
- You can use press release articles as a basis, but you must re-write them to make them unique.
- No publishing of unauthorized content (do not publish any company secret insights or the like).
- Regarding pictures and photos you must have full publishing rights on them.
- Images must be suitable for all audience including children.
- Images must not contain abusive content, violence or any other illegal or controversial content.
- Add an image-credit notice (copyright notice) under the images or at the end of your article.
- Image rules apply for all other media as well (files, videos etc., even if only embedded).
- Mention your sources, if any, in the text or at the end of your articles.
- Tags are enabled. But no more than 3 or 4 per article. Chose wisely, related to your article’s topic.
- No SPAM and no abuse, hate speech, or fake-news of course. Zero tolerance for this.
- Generally adhere to the good practices of the “Netiquette” as on other open platforms, too.
- Your articles can be published immediately, but we may also add a proofreading time to it.
- We reserve the right of re-editing articles and entries (or rejecting them in rare cases) if necessary.
- Our website is GDPR compliant. You must adhere to these privacy regulations, too.
- With your application to become an author or member you accept these rules and guidelines.

Hint: If you also write articles in different languages other than English, we can give you login rights to these language version sites as well. These sites are separated but can be connected with your account in the author backend by the admin, so that you will find everything within just one login. Just let us know. Currently 9 languages are supported: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Russian.
We use WordPress as publishing platform. If you know it already you will be familiar with the backend fast.
