Dr. Johannes-Thomas Grobe new KHS Executive Board member for Sales and Service

The restructuring of KHS management board has been completed

Johannes-Thomas Grobe will be the new Sales and Service Director of KHS GmbH.

This has been confirmed by the Supervisory Board of the Dortmund company. The 53-year-old man is leaving Dürr Systems AG, a manufacturer of machines and systems for the automotive industry, to join the Dortmund-based supplier of filling and packaging systems. Dr. Grobe completes the KHS executive management board with President Kai Acker and Martin Resch. Official start will be April 1, 2019.

Experience in product and technology development

Following the appointment of Kai Acker as Chief Executive Officer of KHS at the beginning of 2019, the restructuring of KHS’ management board has now been completed.

“We are pleased to have acquired Dr. Grobe as an expert and proven leader for our company. His professional career is accompanied by a wide range of industrial experience,” says Kai Acker, Chairman of the Executive Board.

Mr. Grobe has extensive knowledge in the management of product and technology development, innovation projects, production and manufacturing processes.

PhD in computer science from Dürr Systems and Bosch Rexroth

The computer scientist, who obtained his PhD from RWTH University in Aachen in 1998, held various positions at Bosch Rexroth, including Vice President of Sales for Industrial Management, Application Development for Industrial Applications as well as Key Account Management. Dr. Grobe was the company’s Managing Director in it’s operations in India.

Since September 1, 2015, he has been Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing Paint and Final Assembly System at Dürr Systems AG. On April 1, 2019, he will take up his new job as Director of Sales and Service at KHS. “We are well positioned for the future and together we will give a decisive boost to the growth of the KHS Group,” says Acker.
