Wet wipes production lines are usually compared by speed, lane count and packaging format. Those points are important, but they do not tell the whole story. For a factory that needs stable output every day, the more useful question is what buyers should check inside the machine before making a purchasing decision.
A 12-lane wet wipes production line is a coordinated system. It brings together nonwoven unwinding, web guiding, tension control, liquid dosing, slitting, folding, counting, stacking, conveying and packing preparation. If one section is unstable, the entire line can lose efficiency even when the headline production speed looks attractive.
The first area to inspect is the unwinding and tension-control section. Wet wipes material is lightweight, flexible and sensitive to stretch. A good production line should guide the web smoothly and keep tension consistent across the full width. Stable tension helps reduce wrinkles, uneven sheet size and lane-to-lane differences.
Liquid application is another key point. The dosing system needs to distribute liquid evenly before the material enters folding and stacking. If wetting and movement are not synchronized, factories may see sticking, deformation, unstable stacks or inconsistent product feel.
Folding and stacking are also critical. In a multi-lane machine, every lane should produce sheets with consistent dimensions and a stable fold. Good lane consistency helps the packaging section run smoothly.
